CREATIVE COMMUNITY CHAMPION CO-ORDINATOR P/T
Hours: part time, 24 hours per week

Salary: £11,400 per annum (pro rata of £19k full time)
Tenure: fixed term to 31 March 2019 (with potential 2-year extension, subject to funding)

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your skills working creatively with older people on an innovative project?
We are looking for an organised, efficient, enthusiastic, co-ordinator to join our Creative Ageing team. Based in Herefordshire, The Courtyard’s Creative Ageing project has been delivering innovative projects for older people for six years. Our project has been replicated by organisations across the UK.
Working closely with the Adult Participation Manager the post holder will develop and deliver our Creative Community Champions’ (CCC) project. CCC is a library of creative toolkits that champions can access to run high-quality arts sessions with older people’s community groups. To support the delivery of these sessions champions attend monthly training sessions. These sessions are delivered by professional artists and the CCC Co-ordinator.
To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent organisational skills and the ability to show initiative in a fast-paced environment. You should also have demonstrable experience of delivering crafts-based creative projects and have had previous experience of project management. Previous experience in working with older people and knowledge of the benefits of arts and health would be desirable.

FAMILY FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER
Do you love the arts? Would you like to take part in the organisation and the running of a Family Arts Festival? An exciting opportunity has arisen to assist with the co-ordination of our 5th Family Festival. The Festival will take place throughout the Autumn half-term (29 Oct – 2 Nov 2018) and will be centred at The Courtyard, as well as around the county on other days of the week.
The Courtyard is offering a six-month voluntary opportunity (up to 16 hours/2 days a week) to work with the Community Relationships Manager. You will assist with planning, and running of the Family Festival. This will include arranging workshops and practitioners for each day, working closely with the Marketing team to provide information as they design all marketing materials and helping to ensure the smooth running of the festival.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone whose career aspirations lie in arts marketing, event management or festival planning.
Basic travel expenses will be paid and lunch will be provided in The Courtyard’s Café Bar. There will also be opportunities to see shows and films.

FUNDRAISING VOLUNTARY OPPORTUNITY
Do you love the arts and would you benefit from hands-on fundraising experience across both individual giving and corporate sectors in a busy community arts organisation in the centre of Hereford? This is an exciting time to come on board as we’re planning a range of exciting events and activities including a glitzy Gala Dinner to celebrate 20 years of The Courtyard this autumn!
The Courtyard is offering a six-month voluntary opportunity (up to 16 hours/2 days a week) to work with the fundraising team. You will assist with planning, marketing and running fundraising events and activities, as well as administration connected to Business Club, sponsorship and advertising. This could include chasing ad copy, getting raffle prizes or organising a book fair.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone whose career aspirations lie in arts administration as it covers many areas eg fundraising, communications/marketing, events management and corporate partnerships.
Basic travel expenses will be paid and lunch will be provided in The Courtyard’s Café Bar. Working in a busy regional arts centre means there will opportunities to see shows as well.
