CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT

Do you love meeting members of the public and can you sell proactively?  We are seeking a hard-working and enthusiastic Customer Service Assistant to join The Courtyard’s busy and friendly Box Office team.  The successful candidate must have experience of working in sales, retail or marketing/promotion, possess excellent customer service skills and be confident using database systems.  This is an excellent opportunity to assist in the implementation of a range of sales strategies to increase attendance and to develop new audiences.  The Customer Services Assistant will support the Customer Service Co-ordinator and Marketing & Sales Manager in all box office and direct sales aspects of The Courtyard as the primary performance arts provider in Herefordshire.

The Courtyard’s box office is open Mondays to Saturdays 10am to 8pm and for an hour before any Sunday shows.  Post holders will be required to cover a variety of shifts with evenings, weekends and bank holidays forming part of their normal hours of work.

VISUAL ARTS PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR  freelance

The Courtyard wishes to raise the profile of visual arts and to develop young artistic talent within Herefordshire by supporting emerging artists.  We have been fortunate to receive funding from the Church Street Trust to secure the services of a freelance co-ordinator to make this project a reality.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to pass on their own skills and mentor artists at the beginning of their career.

FUNDRAISING VOLUNTARY OPPORTUNITY

Do you love the arts and would you benefit from hands-on fundraising experience across both individual giving and corporate sectors in a busy community arts organisation in the centre of Hereford?  This is an exciting time to come on board as we’re planning a range of exciting events and activities including a glitzy Gala Dinner to celebrate 20 years of The Courtyard this autumn!

The Courtyard is offering a six-month voluntary opportunity (up to 16 hours/2 days a week) to work with the fundraising team.  You will assist with planning, marketing and running fundraising events and activities, as well as administration connected to Business Club, sponsorship and advertising.  This could include chasing ad copy, getting raffle prizes or organising a book fair.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone whose career aspirations lie in arts administration as it covers many areas eg fundraising, communications/marketing, events management and corporate partnerships.

Basic travel expenses will be paid and lunch will be provided in The Courtyard’s Café Bar.  Working in a busy regional arts centre means there will opportunities to see shows as well.
