Auditions for Aladdin

Are you aged between 8 and 14? Do you love to sing, dance and act? If the answer is YES The Courtyard, Herefordshire’s Centre for the Arts, is looking for you. Preparations for the 2010 pantomime Aladdin are underway and the Arts Centre is looking for enthusiastic and eager youngsters to join the show. You will perform alongside the professional main cast during rehearsals and during the six week run from Friday 26 November to Saturday 8 January.
Auditions will take place on Sunday 26 September at 2.30pm in The Courtyard’s Garrick Room. You need to arrive by 2pm and report to the Auditions Desk in the foyer. You will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will need to fill out the registration forms and stay in the building until you are finished. There is no need to prepare anything in advance – you will be taught song and dance steps at the audition. You should wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing and suitable footwear, no jeans or trainers.
There are a few things that you will need to bring with you to the audition. You will need a letter of permission from your head teacher as you will need to miss some days off school, you also need a letter from your parent or guardian, two passport sized photos and a photocopy of your birth certificate.
