An Evening of Indian Classical Music

John Mayer, son of the late Indian composer and Indo-Jazz Fusions founder, studied Sitar from Clem Alford. He and Mitel Purohit (one of the most sought after percussionists on British Asian Music Scene) split their time between Indian, jazz and world music.  As a duo in the first half of the concert, they will present North Indian music.  After the interval they will be joined by vocals and guitar from Shahid Khan and Justin Quinn – from there it is anyone’s guess where the quartet will go...
