Nicky Arscott
Nicky Arscott is a painter and illustrator. She grew up in Ledbury, Herefordshire, and returned to the UK after completing an MA in creative writing at the University of Austin, Texas. This period of study encouraged the development of the narrative within much of her visual art. As well as working from her studio in Llanbrynmair, Powys, Nicky spends two months a year creating images and decor for the Glastonbury Festival of Performing Arts, where she works alongside WaterAid. She has published and exhibited work in the USA and the UK, including at the Royal Academy Summer Show. In her forthcoming exhibition, 'CATALONIA', Nicky explores her own heritage as well as the history and people of this northeastern region of Spain.
