Dippy Sam Witwicky once again joins the Autobots to fight their sworn enemies, the Decepticons. Returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons. The Autobots initially believe that peace is possible, but when they learn that not only is Starscream on his way but the revived Megatron is seeking revenge, they realise they will have to fight to save the universe. The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun.
