★★★★★ “All hail the Pajama Men, The Velvet Underground of comedy”

Award-winning sketch duo announce tour, bringing acclaimed show to The Courtyard!

The shape-shifting and spectacularly surreal character-based double act, the Pajama Men, are going on tour with 2 Man 3 Musketeers following a run at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

2 Man 3 Musketeers is the Pajama Men’s first epic novel adaptation, it premiered to critical acclaim at 2015’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival before an acclaimed run at 2015’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The duo’s – Mark Chavez and Shenoah Allen – latest ambitious undertaking is a live, comic, existential meltdown that takes place as the two comedians attempt to stage Dumas’ epic, historical, romance novel from 1844…in under an hour…all thanks to a call from Kelly Leonard, vice president of American comedy institution Second City.

It’s easy to get sucked into the mainstream’s idea of success, to think that such-and-such an act is prospering because he’s on telly, she’s a “household name” – and this other act isn’t, because they’re not. The Pajama Men aren’t on telly, but are cited as an influence on an entire generation of comedians. Maybe they’re comedy’s Velvet Underground, of whom it was said, “They only sold a few thousand records, but everyone who bought one started a band.” (The Guardian)

We believe some of the best comedy comes from acts like these, don’t just come and see the big name comedians – try something new!
