MARKETING ASSISTANT (Digital & Content)

The Courtyard is offering a fixed-term marketing opportunity for someone whose career aspirations lie in arts marketing which will enable them to gain valuable hands-on training and experience.  Working alongside our experienced Communications team, you will be involved in a range of activities such as working on press nights, website, social media, as well as getting your teeth into tailor-made marketing projects

CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR

Do you love meeting members of the public and can you sell proactively?  We are seeking a hard-working and enthusiastic Customer Service Supervisor to join The Courtyard’s busy and friendly Box Office team.  The successful candidate must have experience of working in sales, retail or marketing/promotion, possess excellent customer service skills, be confident using database systems and ideally have some supervisory experience.  This is an excellent opportunity to assist in the implementation of a range of sales strategies to increase attendance and to develop new audiences.  The Customer Services Supervisor will support the Customer Service Co-ordinator and Marketing & Sales Manager in all box office and direct sales aspects of The Courtyard as the primary performance arts provider in Herefordshire.

The Courtyard’s box office is open Mondays to Saturdays 10am to 8pm and for an hour before any Sunday shows.  Post holders will be required to cover a variety of shifts with evenings, weekends and bank holidays forming part of their normal hours of work.

CLEANER  casual

The Courtyard is Herefordshire’s thriving centre for the arts welcoming over 200,000 visitors through its doors every year.  We pride ourselves in the housekeeping and presentation of the building and are now looking for a casual cleaner to assist in maintaining the high standards we have set.

We are seeking someone with some general cleaning experience who can work around 8 hours per week (2 x 4-6-hour shifts), usually Saturdays, but weekday availability would be an advantage.  Additional hours may also be offered at certain times to cover holidays, sickness or special events.

FUNDRAISING & EVENTS VOLUNTARY OPPORTUNITY

Are you passionate about the arts and would you like to gain some hands-on events management and fundraising experience in a popular and busy regional community arts venue?

The Courtyard is offering a six-month voluntary opportunity (up to 16 hours a week) from July/August 2017 to work alongside the Fundraising Manager, within the Communications team, to assist with planning, marketing and running fundraising events and activities, as well as assisting with some fundraising administration functions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone whose career aspirations lie in arts administration especially fundraising, communications and events management, and will enable them to gain invaluable hands-on experience within a popular mid-scale arts centre.
