Eugene Onegin.

Runs for: 195 minutes.
Event runs on 10/4/2018.

Eugene Onegin combines Pushkin’s compelling and heart-breaking story with Tchaikovsky’s sweeping lyricism in a stunning exploration of love, death, life and convention.
Filled with breath-taking arias including Tatyana’s great letter scene, a tour de force of the soprano repertoire, the poignant tale contrasts the simplicity of country life with the sophisticated excesses of Russia’s pre-revolutionary court and tells of the fated love between the innocent Tatyana and the world-weary cynic Onegin.
A fabulous cast includes rising new stars and internationally recognised performers. Led by MWO’s Artistic Directors Richard Studer and Jonathan Lyness, and accompanied by the brilliant Ensemble Cymru, this new production will ensure audiences are left enthralled and deeply moved.

Cyfuna Eugene Onegin hanes nerthol a thorcalonnus Pushkin gyda thelynegiaeth ysgubol Tchaikovsky mewn ymchwiliad syfrdanol o gariad, marwolaeth, bywyd a chonfensiwn.
Mae’r hanes ingol, sy’n llawn ariâu rhyfeddol gan gynnwys golygfa wych Tatyana am y llythyr, gorchest repertoire y soprano, yn cyferbynnu symlrwydd bywyd cefn gwlad â gormodedd soffistigedig llys cyn-chwyldroadol Rwsia ac yn dweud hanes y cariad tynghedlon rhwng Tatyana ddiniwed a’r sinig lluddedig Onegin.
Mae’r cast gwych yn cynnwys sêr newydd a pherfformwyr rhyngwladol cydnabyddedig. Arweinir y perfformiad gan Gyfarwyddwyr Artistig OCC, Richard Studer a Jonathan Lyness, i gyfeiliant Ensemble Cymru. Bydd y cynhyrchiad newydd hwn yn sicrhau bod cynulleidfaoedd yn cael eu swyno a’u cyffroi i’w craidd.
