EXPLORE: A Discovery of Materials and Environment

HCA’s Level 2 Art and Design Students and Level 3 Creative Practice students explore, experiment and discover new materials and process, taking inspiration from the world around them. From challenging concepts about how both natural materials and traditional art materials can be adapted and manipulated to create something unexpected. We explore film, video mapping, textiles, print, ceramics and more through design, craft, communication and art.
Students are challenged to go beyond the constraints of a studio and out into workshops, into the streets, into the nature and away from the traditional and expected, to find their vision and uncover a new process and outcome.
