Using her Milton books as inspiration, you’ll create your own characters, ready for an adventure. You’ll do some collaborative storytelling and discover where ideas come from.

Emma Read is a children’s author and creative writing mentor and tutor. Her debut novel for young readers, Milton the Mighty, was one of The Times’ Best Children’s Books of 2019. It also won the North Somerset Teachers Award and was shortlisted for the Bath Children’s Novel Award. The sequel, Milton the Megastar is out now. Other published works include short stories and flash fiction.
Emma provides mentoring and tuition to other writers and when possible, runs in-person workshops for schools, libraries and festivals.
