Duration: 60 minutes

This event will be delivered live on Facebook.

To celebrate National Writing Day, join award-winning author Simon James Green for a laugh-out-loud event exploring his middle-grade novel, Life of Riley.

This feel-good session will prove laughter really is the best medicine, as Simon explains why funny books are important and how they can help us through difficult times.

You’ll soon find your funny bones as Simon shows you how to create your own funny stories, including all his top tips for writing comedy, from slapstick to absurdity.

Finish the session in stitches, as Simon reads an extract from his book, and then head off to write your own!
