Through the seasons, eccentric farm worker Karl-Göran Persson fortifies his modest home into a haven against nuclear Armageddon. Compulsively gathering scrap metal, he casts it into the walls, envisioning a fortress that will protect him and his neighbours, but his efforts bewilder everyone except the local children
