Dave and Freya have developed a distinct and compelling signature sound, blending concertina, harmonium, cittern, stomp box, acoustic guitar and banjo with their beautiful and closely intertwined vocal harmonies.

The Hey Yahs are back for their fifth annual Courtyard fundraiser and want to celebrate good times with you all with a party-night event filled with your all-time favourite classic and modern pop, soul & greatest hits. The Hey Yahs are a fun, lively party band showcasing a vibrant mix of dazzling vocals, uplifting brass and ultimate grooves. With their trademark combination of medleys, mash-ups and theatrical performance, they guarantee a fun filled night with plenty of dancing on and off stage.

 

For the Dance Enthusiasts | Spirit of The Dance

Wednesday 26 January, 4pm & 7.30pm

The International smash hit “Spirit of the Dance” celebrates 21 fabulous years as one of the most successful dance shows ever and now, their new spine tingling anniversary show is touring the world. The breath-taking dancers in Spirit of the Dance sound like a runaway express train and their frenzied skill and military precision sends shivers down your spine. Not one Irish dance shoe steps out of line as their thunderous feet perform as one, with an excitement that leaves audiences screaming for more.

For the ones with a Sense of Humour | Born Lippy: An Evening with Jo Brand

Thursday 27 January, 7pm

Jo Brand will be in conversation with Sybil Ruscoe, talking about her career, film, TV script and book writing, presenting, acting roles and passions in life. There will be an opportunity to buy Born Lippy: How To Do Female and have it personally signed by Jo after the show.

 

For the Orchestra Lovers | OOTS Loops & Verses

Tuesday 15 February, 7.30pm 

Orchestra of the Swan return in the new year with Conductor Michael Collins and Pianist Peter Donohoe for a performance of Loops and Verses. There’s also a pre-show talk from 6.30pm!

 

For the Theatre Goers | I, Elizabeth

Wednesday 2 March, 7.30pm

From the award-winning creators of Orlando, Austen’s Women, and The Time Machine. Elizabeth I: Queen at 25, political phoenix and famously unmarried – but who was the woman beneath the crown? Using only Elizabeth’s words, adapted from letters, speeches and writings, writer and performer Rebecca Vaughan explores the queen’s struggle to reconcile the desires of womanhood with the duties of sovereignty.

For the Whole Family | Fireman Sam

Tuesday 22 February, 10.30am & 1.00pm

When all of his friends go away, Norman Price decides to find adventure in Pontypandy and become the star of a visiting circus. But with a tiger on the loose and faulty lights, the adventure soon turns to danger. Can Fireman Sam come to the rescue and save the circus? Join Sam, Penny, Elvis, Station Officer Steele and Norman in an all singing, dancing, action-packed show. You can become a fire-fighter cadet and then watch the magic of the circus. So, come along to Pontypandy and watch the adventures unfold!

 

For the Film Buff | The Courtyard Cinema 

The Courtyard Cinema screens hundreds of films every year from action thrillers to period romances and laugh-out-loud comedy to sombre art house films. Coming in January we have Lady Gaga’s return in House of Gucci, Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story and the doors to Downtown Abbey will reopen Spring 2022. Don’t forget, Borderlines Film Festival returns in March, bringing the best cinema has to offer, right here at The Courtyard! The Courtyard Shop is now open! The shop features work by a range of artists including self-proclaimed ‘magpie potter’ Jules Avery, 3D illustrator Katy Alston, and wood worker Eleanor Kercher among many others. There is something for everybody including a host of locally made children’s gifts, candles, ceramics, textiles and jewellery, so you have plenty of ideas to start your Christmas shopping!

For the ones that you just don’t know what to get | Gift Vouchers

Our Gift Vouchers are the perfect present, whether you are considering a show ticket, cosying up to a film in our cinema or experiencing a live screening.

E-Vouchers can be purchased in any amount and redeemed in person at Box Office, over the phone or online as payment towards tickets to Shows, Films, Live Screenings or Memberships. (They cannot be used to purchase food or drink at the Café Bar, artwork, parking or items from The Courtyard Shop).

Gift E-Vouchers can be emailed directly to the recipient or to the purchaser to print and give.

Alternative physical Gift Vouchers, that are also valid in our Café Bar, are available to purchase in person at our Box Office (these cannot be bought online as they represent cash value and cannot be posted). Please note these cannot be used online or in The Courtyard Shop.
