Great Expectations Cast Announced

Courtyard Productions present a week-long run of Dicken’s classic Great Expectations at The Courtyard this October.

 

Joining a cast of community and Courtyard Youth Theatre performers are professional actors Andrea Miller, who will play Miss Havisham, and Angus Brown who will take on the role of escaped convict, Magwitch.

 

Angus Brown

 

Currently showing as Martin Mawsby in ITV drama Wild Bill, Angus Brown has an extensive stage and screen career spanning 20 years. Theatre fans may recognise him from his performances as Vladimir in Waiting For Godot (Miracle Theatre), Ralph in Bouncers (New Vic Theatre) or Budnikov in North By North West (Theatre Royal Bath Productions). Screen appearances include Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (ITV), Criminal Justice (BBC) and London’s Burning (Carlton).

 

 

 

Andrea Miller

 

Starring beside Angus Brown is Andrea Miller as Miss Havisham. Andrea boasts an equally impressive stage career, having performed in a multitude of musicals including Flashdance, Billy Elliot, Sister Act, Guys and Dolls and Into The Woods as well as stage productions of Scottish Widows, Real Dracula and Private Lives and television shows Peer Gynt, Frankenstein’s Baby and Scotch & Wry.

 

 

 

Taking on the lead roles of Pip and Estella are community actors Fletch Garrard and Ellie Bailey who have both risen through the ranks of The Courtyard’s Youth Theatre. Both Fletch and Ellie also starred in previous Courtyard Production Lord of the Flies in 2016.
