New Interactive Play Areas at The Courtyard

Enhancing Accessibility Through Play

We have recently taken some exciting steps toward creating more inclusive and engaging spaces for children of all abilities. Our foyer area now features an innovative OmiVista interactive floor projector, creating an immersive sensory experience where children can interact with projected images that respond to their movements. This state-of-the-art technology can be enjoyed by everyone, but is specifically designed to support children and adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), offering customisable visual experiences that encourage movement, social interaction, and cognitive development.

We’ve also installed a tactile play wall in our Café Bar Area, featuring an array of sensory and wooden toys that invite exploration through touch and creative play. We’re delighted to see children already enjoying these new features!

As we continue to expand our inclusive workshops and children’s activities, we hope these new interactive spaces will provide valuable engagement opportunities and create a welcoming environment for all families. Look out for further additions to our children’s activities around our building in the upcoming months!

These improvements have been made possible through the generous support of Rowlands Trust and The Elmley Foundation, we look forward to witnessing the positive impact they’ll have on our community’s youngest visitors.
