Rags to Riches Trashion Show

The Courtyard are championing their Eco message at the Hereford Round Table’s Firework Night at Hereford Racecourse this November.

To celebrate this year’s ecologically themed pantomime, Cinderella, The Courtyard are holding a Rags to Riches Trashion Show on Saturday 2 November at the Fireworks event at Hereford Racecourse.

Members of the Herefordshire community have been crafting Cinderella Ball themed garments entirely from recycled materials – or trash! Those taking part include local artists Susan Parry and Sadie Reade, Courtyard staff members Jordan Todd and Clare Wichbold, students from Hereford College of Arts and Hereford Steiner Academy as well as a group from Hereford recycled textiles centre Rose Tinted Rags who are making an extra special Dame outfit.

The pieces will be on display as an exhibition at The Courtyard itself following the Trashion Show throughout the duration of the run of Cinderella.

The Trashion Show not only aims to promote The Courtyard’s annual pantomime Cinderella, but is also an opportunity to highlight the importance of the current ecological climate and the risks that we are facing as a result of global warming and lack of understanding about the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling waste.

The Courtyard’s Rags to Riches Trashion Show is kindly supported by Hereford Round Table, Hereford Racecourse and Sunshine Radio.
