Snow White visits the Children’s Ward

The cast of The Courtyard’s annual children’s Christmas show visited the children’s ward at Hereford Hospital this week.

Snow White and Grimm (played by Katie Haygarth and Scott Waugh) met some of the children on the ward and performed snippets of the show for the children and their families. They were also joined by representatives of Gabbs Solicitors who kindly sponsor the show. The team from Gabbs surprised the children with early Christmas presents to bring some joy to those who may not be able to enjoy the festive holiday at home this year.

Katie Haygarth, who plays Snow White said:

“Visiting the hospital was one of the highlights of the Christmas run. Being able to sing, laugh and smile with some of the poorly children, and in fact the nurses of County Hospital was utterly magical. It was so rewarding being able to bring a little bit of silliness, a whole lot of glitter and a spattering of colour into their lives for an hour.”

Snow White will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre until Monday 31 December and is the perfect introduction to theatre for those who may be too young for panto.
