Help us to help our Herefordshire communities!
We want as many people as possible, young and older, to experience the joy, power and inspiration of creative arts in their lives. Since opening in 1998, The Courtyard’s team has worked tirelessly to help communities across our rural county access quality arts experiences and activities across the widest possible range of genres.
Today, we are Herefordshire’s only dedicated multi-genre arts centre; an arts hub that delivers a diverse show programme as well as a high quality learning & participatory programme for individuals and communities throughout the county. In 2014-15, we had 7,500 attendances with older people to our community arts projects and over 30,000 attendances to our youth projects. A registered charity (number 106789), we are always working to enable as many people as possible to enhance their lives through our diverse arts provision.
You won’t be surprised to hear that this work needs financial support and there are many ways in which you can help us achieve all of this, through Individual Giving or, if you are a business, through Corporate Support.
We receive annual funding from Arts Council England (being part of its national portfolio) but are no longer regularly funded by Herefordshire Council which withdrew its grant of £130,000 p.a. in April 2016.
The Courtyard’s staff and volunteers are working harder than ever to fundraise and find additional support for our growing programme of participatory community work throughout the county and to support our wonderful venue which is 20 years old in 2018.
