The Perfect Tea Party

Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass opens in just under a month! In the first #WonderyardWednesday the Mad Hatter takes centre stage, as we discover what makes the perfect tea party…
Get a large table and make sure that there is plenty of room for your guests (but don’t let them sit down unless they’ve been invited)
One’s watch may end up with crumbs in it so always make sure that you have a back up on hand in case it stops working
Do not pose impossible riddles upon your guests
Tea, bread and butter are acceptable refreshments (but cakes and biscuits are always nice too!)
Make sure not to let your party go on all year as it may be inconvenient for your guests
Keep finger sandwiches crustless, small and dainty and keep plenty of tea on hand
Always keep the conversation flowing and be a good host
If your tea goes cold politely ask for a fresh cup – do not tip out onto other guests, particularly a dormouse
