Taking on the role of Assistant Director

I have been a member of the Courtyard Youth Theatre for the past 8 years, within that time I have strictly been a performer. However, when I was offered the opportunity to take on the role of Assistant Director for ‘TWO’ I couldn’t refuse. I love having the opportunity to communicate my ideas to such a strong group of actors. The challenge of finding character and relationships through physical theatre has been a tough but very rewarding experience.

As Assistant Director I have been responsible for making sure the actors are warmed up physically and vocally before starting rehearsals.

I have planned and directed the main movement sequences within the piece and have contributed ideas throughout. This role has allowed me to gain knowledge about the production process and has helped me find the most effective ways to bring the best out in others.

I am very proud of how the show is progressing and feel it will be a great show to both watch and perform. Don’t miss out and GET TICKETS NOW!
