In February, Head of Sales and Marketing Jessica Prosser and Head of Operations Phillip Pearcy attended the Visit Herefordshire Awards on behalf of The Courtyard and accepted the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Award in the regional ceremony.

As a regional award winner, our application was submitted for consideration for the national awards and we are delighted to be chosen as a finalist following a rigorous judging process by handpicked tourism industry experts.

There were 1,800 applications to the 21 aligned local awards with 360 applicants forwarded for judging in the Visit England Awards for Excellence.

Finalists are invited to attend the national awards ceremony, held at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange on 4 June, where Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be announced at the black tie event.

“Having this kind of recognition for the work we put into being as accessible and inclusive as possible is a huge deal. We are constantly striving to improve our offering and facilities and are excited to be able to celebrate and share what we do at a national level.”

The Courtyard is a welcoming venue for everyone including d/Deaf, visually impaired, disabled and neurodiverse customers.
