Phoenix Youth Theatre did a fantastic job with Roald Dahl classic! On 16 & 17 July The Phoenix Theatre in Ross-on-Wye saw the Youth Theatre group bring to life a Roald Dahl favourite, Fantastic Mr Fox. They performed 3 shows, each to a sell-out audience who were blown away by the talent of these youngsters.

The cast, made up of 24 Youth Theatre members aged 7-14 years, delivered a skilled performance full of wonderful characterisation, humour and enthusiasm. NODA rep, Bruce Wyatt, who watched on opening night described it as ‘charmingly innocent’ and ‘overall a delightful production which the audience and I enjoyed.’

Director, Ellen Dorsett, comments ‘I am bursting with pride, these young people have shown true commitment and determination to deliver a show of such high quality. Despite various hurdles and obstacles throughout, they have taken it all in their stride and have worked incredibly hard. I have no doubt that these performers are our future stars – whether that is on stage or off! And I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to work with them.’
