The Courtyard Creative Award!

The Courtyard launch a new Creative Award for local artists studying at Hereford College of Arts.

We have teamed up with Hereford College of Arts to present a brand new award to one of their Degree students. The award entitles the winner to the opportunity to sell their work through The Courtyard Shop, as well as creative career mentoring with Elizabeth Terzza, Courtyard Retail Manager.

The Courtyard Shop currently stocks around 40 local artists. It shines the spotlight on locally made, sustainable products, putting them at the heart of our shopping community. It opened in November 2021 and we’ve been working hard to create a community of local and independent artists, designers, creators, merchants and makers.

The award was presented at the HCA Degree Show Private View on Friday 10 June. The winner was Linzi Morgan Whitting! We chose Linzi for the award because of her beautifully made, heartfelt work. A collection of stories told through a wonderfully diverse range of mediums, from songwriting and illustrations to ceramic sculpture.
