An Artist in #Wonderyard

Members of The Courtyard Junior Youth Theatre have shown that their talents are not just restricted to the stage this week with an art competition organised by Cotswold Hereford MINI!

In preparation for their latest production of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, cast members were asked to create an illustration inspired by Lewis Carroll classic story. Cotswold Hereford MINI, who are sponsoring the Youth Theatre Production, then took the winning illustration and applied it to one of their display MINIs to help promote the show.

The winning design was created by Caitlin Maddock, aged fourteen, whose attention to detail on her Cheshire Cat grin really impressed the judges. Caitlin, who lives in Hereford, will be playing the role of Mock Turtle in the show and has been a member of Youth Theatre for the last year. The other entries are currently on display in The Courtyard Foyer.

Melanie Denning, Fundraising Manager, says: “Cotswold Hereford MINI are great supporters of our charity and its community work and we were so pleased when they offered to help us run an art competition with cast members. Caitlin’s winning Cheshire Cat design is now gracing the bonnet of a MINI and is a real eye catcher.”

Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass will be in The Courtyard’s Main House on Wednesday 19 – Saturday 22 April, 2pm & 7pm.  To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or click here
