Company Gavin Robertson present Mata Hari: The Female Spy at The Courtyard
100 years after her execution, Katharine Mary brings to life the story of Mata Hari. From her upbringing in The Netherlands, to Indonesia, and the invention in Paris of her alter-ego, she reflects upon the events that have led her to the firing squad. A dancer, lover and one of the most notorious female spies in history, the production explores the many sides of the Mata Hari.
With original music and sound design from Danny Bright and an interwoven monologue inspired by her own words, audiences can expect a compelling production that will force them to question who was Mata Hari?
