Courtyard and Ross Market House partnership

The Ross Market House will reopen on Sunday 3 May thanks to a new partnership between Made in Ross and The Courtyard.

Made in Ross is a consortium of local artists based in Ross, including potters, jewellers, photographers and painters, who will exhibit and sell a range of work in the Market House. The consortium will also run workshops for people interested in expanding their artistic abilities.

They are working in partnership with The Courtyard who will provide logistical support as well as having a presence within the building.

Made in Ross will launch their new space inside the Market House on Saturday 3 May to coincide with Ross May Fair. Visitors are invited to visit the Market House and explore the artwork on offer.

Ian Archer, Chief Executive at The Courtyard, said “We are very excited to be working in partnership with Made in Ross to bring fantastic artwork to the Market House and the people of Ross. It is a very important space and we hope that this will encourage more involvement in the arts.”

Eleanor Kercher, chairman of Made in Ross, said, “We’re very grateful for the generosity of the council, and The Courtyard, who are overseeing the project. There will be a constantly evolving range of artwork available to view and buy from Ross Market House, which is a fantastic hub of activity in the centre of Ross. Come and visit and find out more about what we do!”

Initially, the Market House will open four days a week, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
