Easter Holiday Fun at The Courtyard!

The Courtyard is the place to be this Easter Holiday with a whole host of activities for all of the family to enjoy!

Live Shows

Over a hundred Scouts and Guides will start the Easter Holidays by taking to the stage for this year’s Gang Show (Tue 3 – Sat 7 April). The second week of the school holidays will see dinosaur aficionado Dr Ben Garrod take to the stage in So You Think You Know About Dinosaurs? (Wed 11 April) In an interactive and highly entertaining show. There is also the perfect opportunity for young children to experience classical music when London Mozart Players perform Roald Dahl’s Little Red Riding Hood (Fri 13 April) in a lively rendition of the classic fairy tale. As an end of holidays treat, the BAFTA award-winning CBeebies show Sarah and Duck will present Big Top Birthday (Sun 15 April) and take children on a magical adventure.

 

 

Films

For film fans, two long awaited family favourites will be hitting the big screen in the Easter break. Aardman Animations present the story of caveman Dug in Early Man (PG) (Fri 30 March – Mon 9 April) and everyone’s favourite bunny, Peter Rabbit (PG) (Fri 6 – Thu 12 April) continues his long running battle with Mr McGregor.  There is also the opportunity to see a very special screening of 1926 silhouette animation, The Adventures of Prince Achmed (PG) on Wednesday 11 April at 6pm. Featuring a live musical score performed by Chris Davies, children can watch the magical tales from the Arabian Nights come to life in this beautiful animation.

Workshops

For families looking to entertain children all day long there are a range of Holiday Workshops run by The Courtyard Education team for children aged six to twelve to stay and enjoy. This year’s theme is film fun and workshops range from Moana inspired dance sessions to Frozen themed arts and crafts. Workshops run every day from Monday 9 – Friday 13 April and there is a discount when all five events are booked together.
