Go on a magical journey with Hansel & Gretel this Christmas! Funny, charming, and bursting with energy, this imaginative live theatre show breathes fresh life into the classic tale of magic, mystery, and deliciously sweet adventures.

Deep in the forest, secrets and surprises await… Can our brave brother and sister find their way past the Wicked Witch’s tricks and treats? What mischief will unfold when they discover a house made of sugar, spice, and all things nice?

Let your imagination soar as the story unfolds through playful puppetry, toe-tapping original songs, and beloved characters
brought to life. Get ready for a gingerbread house full of family fun!

An inclusive and interactive theatrical treat to delight all ages, especially magical for children under 7.

WHAT IS A RELAXED PERFORMANCE?

A Relaxed Performance is specifically designed for those who would appreciate a less formal theatre environment. The show is adapted to be particularly Autism Friendly. The aim is to retain all the magic of the show experience but in a more relaxed environment through sensitive changes to the performance. A quiet, sensory room will also be provided for audience members to use if they need a break from the performance.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The relaxed performance is open to everyone but may benefit individuals with autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, sensory and communication difficulties, parents with young babies; and anyone who feels they would benefit from a more supportive and inclusive theatre-going experience.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT TO OTHER PERFORMANCES?

• We keep the lights on low over the auditorium.
• Effects in the show are toned down, especially if they involve sudden loud noises or flashes of bright light.
• We open the doors an hour before to allow audience members enough time to get to their seats.
• Audience members are free to move around, leave their seats and make noise during the show.
• A quiet, sensory room is available for audience members to use if they need a break from the performance.
• There will be audience participation, but individuals will not be picked on at random.
• Sweets will not be thrown out over the audience.
• Additional staff and stewards will be on board to help.
• A social story will be available to help familiarise audience members with the venue and performance before the show.
