Herefordshire Artists’ Lab

Arts Alive and The Courtyard are coming together to develop a new series of scratch nights (working title: Herefordshire Artists’ Lab) primarily aimed at Herefordshire-based performing artists.

We invite you to join us at an initial exploration session facilitated by Hannah Prior (Artistic Director for Arts Alive), this session aims to support a dialogue with members of the artistic community in the county as to how we can all collaborate to improve and grow the offer of artist development in the region.

Our aim is to create a regular set of performance opportunities that can showcase work from local companies, focusing on advancing opportunities in rural and small to mid-scale touring.

Arts Alive and The Courtyard would prioritise programming for some companies yearly to have shows programmed to tour through the Arts Alive network, to be introduced to the wider UK rural touring network, and to have work presented at The Courtyard. We would also invite local venue promoters and other programmers to attend the scratch nights.
