Event Information

The Courtyard’s Inspired Festival was created by and for young people, it is a platform for our Youth Theatre groups to use theatre to express what is important to them. Inspired Festival is a real highlight in our Youth Theatre calendar and is a chance to see our Intermediate & Senior members at their best, come along and be INSPIRED!

This year will see groups from The Courtyard, Ledbury and Bromyard all take to the stage during the festival.

5pm: Ledbury Intermediates & Seniors – The Red Shoes

The Red Shoes ()

Ledbury Intermediates put a spin on Hans Christian Andersen’s timeless tale of “The Red Shoes” in their modern adaptation. Follow Karen’s journey as she becomes entangled in the allure of a pair of magical red shoes and pays the price for vanity and disobedience…

6.30pm: Bromyard Intermediates & Seniors – Orchestra

Orchestra

A youth orchestra practises during half term holidays in preparation for a concert. Unexpected events cause them all to interrogate their relationship with success. How do you protect the joy of the process whilst also wanting to be the best? Is striving for artistic excellence worth the pressure of losing a soul?

The Conquest Youth Theatre are thrilled to be a part of this year’s National Theatre Connections Festival and have already performed this piece at their home venue The Conquest and will also be taking it to The Royal & Derngate.
