Exciting talks before all Exhibitions on Screen

Linda Casey is an independent art historian, lecturer, and Official Guide at Tate Britain and Tate Modern, living in Hereford. Linda has kindly offered to lead a series of talks ahead of each Exhibition On Screen live screening in the Studio.

“I believe art should NEVER be boring and I want to share my fascination, enthusiasm and passion for a variety of art historical subjects, aiming to engage, inspire and challenge! You could call me a late bloomer and living proof that it’s never too late  because I graduated, aged 42, from Goldsmiths University, London with a BA (Hons) in History of Art. For the past 13 years, I have been an Official Guide, Trainer and Lecturer at Tate Modern & Britain in London. I have also lectured regularly at Pallant House Gallery, London Art Salon, City Literary Institute and many independent art societies.”

“I am embarking on an exciting series of talks for Hereford College of Arts and also supporting The Courtyard’s Exhibition on Screen live screenings programme with some pre-event talks – as fundraisers – that can be booked alongside the screenings. I offered to do this because I have been so impressed by the exciting, progressive and eclectic Visual Arts programme at the charity and I was honoured to judge the 2019 Cultivate@Courtyard Exhibition, supporting emerging artists. It was a huge privilege to meet the talented and inspiring young people and to witness firsthand the fantastic work being done at the venue. I am keen to continue supporting The Courtyard’s Visual Arts programme and our shared vision of making art accessible to everyone… until my ‘blooming’ days are over!”

Pre-screening talks take place at 6pm, before each Exhibition on Screen screening in the Studio. Tickets are £8, with all proceeds being donated to The Courtyard. Click here for all Live Screenings.
