Fresh Light – Ross Market House

Fresh Light

Monday 1 – Tuesday 30 June

Free exhibition, Ross Market House

A new exhibition casts Fresh Light on photography at Ross Market House throughout June.

Fresh Light is an exhibition of photographs of the Black Mountains and has been created over a period of five years by local photographer Brian Griffiths. It will be displayed at Ross Market House throughout June with some pieces available to purchase.

Brian Griffiths, the artist behind the exhibition, said, “This is the area of Britain that I love most. I walk extensively and love to capture the light and landscape that inspire me. Often I start my walk in darkness in order to be in the right place for sunrise or that special pre dawn light. Sometimes I would have to wait a year for the sun to rise or set in the desired place for the best light.

Fresh Light is the first in a series of exhibitions from Made in Ross artists, who have just reopened Ross Market House in partnership with The Courtyard, and who provide exhibitions, workshops and affordable arts and crafts in the centre of Ross.

Fresh Light will be displayed at Ross Market House from Monday 1 – Tuesday 30 June 2015. The Market House is open 10am – 4pm Thursday to Sunday and is free to enter.
