Hush Now Premiere went live!

On Saturday 13 March, we were delighted to host the premiere of the digitisation of the stage version of Hush Now – Hidden Women.

Adapted for the stage and screen from Feral Productions’ original site-specific production, Hush Now is a piece of theatre giving voice and visibility to Herefordshire’s unmarried mothers who were stigmatised, silenced and hidden away in Mother and Baby homes across the county.

See below how audiences responded to the premiere of this compelling and moving piece:

“Great production. You captured the isolation and hopelessness of that cruel time, including the loss of a child after it all.”

“I’m still recovering. Excellent, excellent stuff all through. Please keep them coming. You’ve hit a nerve.”

“Just watched and I was blown away by this. So moving, beautifully staged – the white, the clothes horses, the folding and handling of cloth. The names, the embroidery. I cried, it was so moving.”

“What a superb performance. Took my breath away.”

There is still time to watch Hush Now on demand before it finishes on Saturday 20 March 2021 at 11.59pm!
