Introducing Will Humphris the new Film Making Club practitioner

We are delighted to be introducing Will Humphris the new Film Making Club practitioner.

Will will be leading Film Making Club sessions from September onwards.

Film practitioner, Will Humphris sitting at a large piece of camera equipment Will started his career in the film industry as a runner at Ridley Scott’s company.

He worked closely with Tony Scott whenever he was over from LA. Staying late, sharing a beer and listening to Tony’s stories of Hollywood are still some of Will’s fondest film memories.

After his time there, Will started work as a camera trainee and worked his way up the scale. From trainee to central loader to loader to focus puller.

Will has worked closely with Oscar winners such as Emmanuel Lubezki (Children of Men), Robert Elswit (Syriana), Dion Beebe (Nine) and Oliver Stone (Alexander).

Additional credits include James Bond: Quantum of Solace, Prince of Persia, Clash of the Titans, Harry Potter and many more.

In 2010, Will decided to make the jump to being a Director of Photography.

He has travelled the world shooting many commercials and has recently been working in Bollywood on action films and dramas, working with some of the biggest stars for Netflix and the big screen.

Will’s latest work has been on Disney’s latest serial spin off from the Star Wars Universe.

Film and Drama credits as Director of Photography include: Siren, Le Weekend, Here and Now, Scott and Sid, Taj Mahal 1989, Attack, Squad and Choona.

Film Making Club runs during term time only on Wednesdays at 5.15pm – 6.45pm (ages 9-13) and 6.45pm – 8.15pm (ages 13-17).
