Live Streaming Cinderella

We were delighted to have live-streamed our pantomime Cinderella for the very first time this January for people who, for whatever reason, are unable to make it to the theatre.

The initiative is part of our expanding community outreach programme, aimed at enabling live performances to reach those who are unable to get to the theatre, and was undertaken in partnership with Shropshire-based production company Wild Edric Media, who specialise in live-streaming for many theatres around the UK.  For this reason, the panto was securely streamed to patients at Hereford County Hospital as well as residents in care homes across the county.

“We are delighted that our panto could be enjoyed by adults and children alike who, for a variety of reasons would be unable to see Cinderella if not for the livestream technology.” Says Marketing and Sales Officer Oliver Wheatley, “We’ve seen how popular this initiative has been with other UK theatres and thought it was time to bring it to Herefordshire, using the expertise and technology from Wild Edric Media.”

Cinderella is currently playing to full audiences and has received critical acclaim from both critics and audiences alike.

Carl Walker of Wild Edric Media said “We were thrilled to be working with The Courtyard on their first ever Panto livestream, and enabling it to be seen by online viewers in hospital and care homes. We’ve built up a lot of experience in this area, having live streamed many UK theatre productions over the years, with two other panto livestreams happening in Wales and Gloucestershire just before Christmas, and we’re delighted to be now working with one of our local theatre venues.”

Cinderella will be on in The Courtyard’s Main House until Saturday 11 January and next year’s pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk is on sale now!
