Orchestra of the Swan present: Wind, Sand & Stars

Courtyard resident orchestra, Orchestra of the Swan have made their latest concert, Wind, Sand & Stars available to stream online for just £10 per household.

Wind, Sand & Stars is part of Orchestra of the Swan’s Night Owl Digital Concert Series and is a fascinating and beautiful weave of music and readings from French writer, poet, philosopher and pioneering aviator, Saint-Exupéry.

The concert explores the pre-war world of the pioneer pilot, when to be a pilot was a thing of wonder: from the velvet minimalist chords of Satie to the brightly polished and exquisite whirring world of Ravel; from the exotic flavours of Debussy to the grit and pathos of Montmartre Chanson.

“A wonderful hour of music and story telling.” Colin Clarke, Classical Explorer

Other concerts in the Night Owl Digital Concert Series include Luna (available to stream now), Timelapse and The Interpretation of Dreams (available to stream in the coming months).

Courtyard audiences can access Wind, Sand & Stars via the Orchestra of the Swan website, please be sure to use the code COURTWSS when booking, as that will mean we get a small donation. Only one link is needed per household.
