Sing Choir Sing: Choral Diversity

Sing Choir Sing will bring together eight of the county’s finest singing groups and choirs for a joint fundraising event for The Courtyard and The Music Pool. Amanda Everall from Tenbury has sung with Choral Diversity – a Leominster-based choir – for the last seven years and is looking forward to performing at at The Courtyard in May…

‘Choral Diversity is so much more than just another choir… it’s like a second family to me. Every Thursday we’re greeted by the friendly team of helpers and a lovely smile from the amazing Beth Melling, our leader. She encourages us to sing harmonies we never think we can master but her patience pays off and somehow we do get there! We sing everything from musical theatre to rock and ballads. We’ve even learned some Welsh and Italian. A range of ages and from all walks of life, what we all have in common is that we love to sing and new members settle in quickly. It’s a great way to relieve stress and we laugh a LOT! The reps arrange social events like bowling and quiz nights and I’ve made friends for life. I can’t imagine life without Choral Diversity and, honestly, it should be on prescription. For those two hours, you can just leave behind any stress at work and forget the housework. As Tina Turner would say ‘It’s Simply the Best’!
