The Courtyard Community Group offers opportunities for local organisations!

In 2019 we launched The Courtyard Community Group. The scheme gives local community organisations and services the opportunity to offer their users free theatre and cinema tickets to attend The Courtyard. This is especially for people who may not be able to attend otherwise.

We recognise that there are many reasons why local people might not be able to engage with the work we do. This can be down to finances, geography or a whole host of other reasons. We want to make sure the arts are accessible to everyone so we’ve created The Courtyard Community Group.

The Courtyard Community Group What’s on offer?

Free tickets to performances and films at The Courtyard for your service users

Heavily discounted offers and notice of future “Pay What You Like” events

Invitation to special events such as launch parties and exhibition private viewings

If you work for a local organisation that might be able to utilise this offer then please submit a form as an expression of interest and our Marketing & Audience Development Manager will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

Since its inception, The Community Group has welcomed so many local organisations who have already benefited so much from the scheme.

What do current members have to say?

“Being part of the Community Group has enabled some of our most vulnerable participants to access some great events which they would not have been able to afford and also to enjoy great theatre in Hereford.”
Herefordshire Mind

“Some of our ECHO members have already attended events thanks to the Courtyard Community Group. It’s lovely to be able to offer these opportunities to people who wouldn’t usually go. It builds their confidence to visit the venue again by themselves.”
Lisa Woakes, ECHO

“Our parents/carers/families have very much appreciated these offers – thank you so much. We hope to see more exciting performances in 2020. Thank you for being so inclusive, it really does make such a difference.” – Becky, Marches Family Network

“Services for Independent Living is hugely grateful to the Courtyard for allowing us to be part of the Courtyard Community Group. As a member organisation we have been invited to a number of events as well as being offered complimentary tickets to specific performances. This is particularly welcomed by our service users who often find it difficult to attend public events but where, as guests of the Courtyard, they are fully involved and feel very much included”.
Shelagh – Services for Independent Living

“Being part of the The Courtyard Community has been great for the Children’s centre service, families that would not have normally been able to access performances have been able to attend and have really enjoyed it. Two families attended the pantomime and thoroughly enjoyed  the performance.”
Nikki, Widemarsh Children’s Centre

Please note, this offer is for organisations working with local people who may otherwise struggle to engage with the arts. Local businesses who would like to be involved with The Courtyard may be better suited to joining our Business Club.
