The Courtyard Shop shines the spotlight on locally made, sustainable products, putting them at the heart of our shopping community. Each month, we try to vary our stock so that you have plenty of new and exciting gifts, crafts and creations to choose from. Meet Beth, the friendly face behind the scenes!

Hello! I’m Beth, The Courtyard’s retail manager, and I can’t wait to tell you all about our creative space and introduce you to local artists and all the small businesses we work with. (Currently over 40 of them!). There is so much talent in Herefordshire and we LOVE supporting artists, helping them sell their work and bringing you original beautiful gifts.

February Favourites

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I have been busy setting up a hearty display with handpicked treasures. Here are our favourites for February:

March Must-Haves

March is the month to celebrate the incredible women in our lives.

We love to support artists and small businesses at The Courtyard Shop, bringing you wonderful unique gifts that your mum will LOVE! Here are some of our favourites this month:

A table set up with various homewares — Cosy Homewares – we have a lovely selection of cosy homewares including these woven blankets by Arcana Living.

A series of ceramic mugs hanging on a wall next to scarves. — Local Mugs – treat your mum to a morning cuppa in one of our handmade mugs created by talented local potters.

A selection of gifts on a table called 'Grow Bars' — New Grow Bars – these miniature flowerbeds are too cute! They contain soil, seeds and instructions. And they will fit through a letterbox, perfect if you need to post your Mother’s Day gift!

Original Paintings X — Wall Art and Original Paintings – treat your mum to one of our beautiful prints and original artwork from local artist Helen Arthur.

Handmade Scarves X — Hand Printed Eco-Dyed Scarves – Meryl makes the perfect accessories for nature loving mums! Each silk scarf is a one-of-a-kind and hand printed with leaves and flowers!

April Aesthetics

This month we are celebrating spring, supporting local talent, and bringing you a pop of colour with a new selection of homeware products.Here are some of our favourites for April:

Add a little vibrance to your space and bring the outside in with these nature-inspired eye-catching cushions and lampshades by Helen Simons Johnston.

We love these local prints by artist Dermot Clarke who has been busy painting a mural in Church Street as part of Hereford’s new art trail.
