THE MOUSETRAP – Super Sleuth Show

Last week The Courtyard team went to see The Mousetrap at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry in preparation for it making its premiere performance here in Herefordshire.

In its sixtieth year the Agatha Christie ‘who done it’ has performed the show over 25,000 times in the UK trying to maintain the secret of who was the murderer.

The show opens with some very larger than life characters, eight in total. There is an eccentric architect, grumpy older lady, mysterious Italian guest and the detective who arrives on skis to name but a few.

Without giving too much a way the plot unfolds and the characters are not always what we thought they were, with a back story which leaves the audience asking questions at the interval.

Overall it is a quality production that leaves the audience constantly trying to understand the back story with all these characters.

The Mousetrap runs at The Courtyard from Tuesday 31 May – Saturday 4 June 7.30pm, with three matinee performances on Thursday 2 to Saturday 4 June at 2pm.
