X-Entricity Theatre present Legally Blonde

X-Entricity Theatre’s latest production, Legally Blonde has brought a taste of West End glamour to Ross on Wye this week in an all-singing, all-dancing feel good triumph!

When glamorous Elle Woods is dumped by her long term boyfriend Warner as he pursues someone more ‘serious’ she becomes determined to win back her man and follows him to Harvard Law School. Along the way she learns valuable life lessons and the show is a lesson in empowerment and self belief.

Directed by Steve Liddle, Lauren Hughes delivered a wonderful performance as the fabulously pink Elle Woods who quickly won over the hearts of the audience on her quest for love. Partnered with Lewis Booton as kind hearted Emmett the pair were a joy to watch.

What was truly outstanding about this performance was the sheer range of talent on offer from the cast of X-Entricity. From beautician, Paulette, who blew audiences away with her powerful rendition of Ireland to the commanding presence of Callahan in his performance of Blood in the Water, there were many standout musical moments. The choreography was sharp and energetic throughout and Kyle the UPS Man left the audience in stitches with his understated yet confident performance. And not forgetting Rufus and Bruiser, the canine contingent in the show, who were impeccably behaved!

Legally Blonde is a hugely enjoyable and vibrant production that is the perfect anecdote to the rainy February weather! If you want an evening of pure fun and entertainment then look no further!

Legally Blonde will be at The Courtyard from Wednesday 31 May – Saturday 3 June. Tickets are available here.
