This May we wanted to take a dive into one of cinema’s most influential movements, Italian Neorealism. Our screenings will feature an introduction by Ethan Hargreaves (The Courtyard’s Cinema Programming Assistant) on the key facets of Italian Neorealism, what to look out for in Rossellini’s work and where to look next.

During the Nazi occupation of Rome in 1944, the Resistance leader, Giorgio Manfredi, is chased by the Nazis as he seeks refuge and a way to escape. Foreign language with English subtitles.
