Eternal Sunshine is a heartachingly beautiful representation of the complexities of neurodiverse love. Joel and Clementine, the two exes in this film that struggle with the memory of their past relationship, appear to represent neurodiverse minds. Joel, played by Jim Carey, is a very shy and soft character, who escapes from his repetitious job by hyper focusing on drawing, and is described as wanting to be ‘swallowed up when in social situations’. Clementine, Kate Winslet, is impulsive, struggles with boundaries and has marvellous little obsessions including collecting potatoes. Join us for this sci-fi romance rollercoaster.
