As well as being a theatre, exhibition space and cinema did you know that The Courtyard is also a registered charity, delivering creative arts activities across the county? For the first time, The Courtyard’s community projects are the sole charity for our Christmas Appeal.

The Courtyard’s innovative Education and Outreach programmes are at the heart of our mission to offer quality creative experiences to the whole community, as well as developing and nurturing the next generation of artistic talent. From free festivals for families to increasing accessibility for those with additional needs and working with care homes to deliver creative workshops to residents, we reach thousands of participants each year through our outreach initiatives. After major funding cuts in 2016, we need your help to protect and develop these vital community programmes, as well as look after this wonderful facility.

Here at The Courtyard, we’re passionate about giving young people from across Herefordshire – whether that’s individuals, local schools, colleges or our Youth Theatre – as many opportunities as possible to discover their creative capabilities in a supportive environment.

You can help us to give more young people access to these amazing experiences, and keep all of our community work going, by supporting our I HEART CY fundraising appeal to raise £25,000 by March 2018.

Please give generously! Look out for the Sleeping Beauty and Little Red Riding Hood casts doing bucket collections outside the auditorium as you leave.
