World Book Day 2022
This year, theatre director Phil Clark hosted a Facebook Live Workshop to celebrate World Book Day. During the interactive session, Phil discussed and read extracts from his favourite book ‘Skellig’ by David Almond. At the end of the session he also set a story related task for audiences to join in with.
World Book Week 2021
It wasn’t just World Book Day at The Courtyard this year. We hosted a whole World Book Week!
Our Education Team created a series of free, online workshops to celebrate World Book Week every day.
Activity packs for each workshop are available to download from the ‘Download Activities’ tab above!
Families and schools visited The Courtyard’s Facebook Page. Here, a range of practitioners delivered free, 45 minute workshops. Each workshop was linked to a different children’s book.
In addition to the workshops, bestselling children’s authors Alan Stott and Cally Gee read excerpts of their books.
The sessions aim to help children of all ages and abilities to engage with drama and literacy in a fun and creative way.
Activity packs for each workshop are also available to download here.
