About

Shakespeare Live! is an online resource for schools and home schoolers to engage with Shakespeare through a variety of art forms.

Running from Monday 10 – Friday 14 May The Courtyard Education team are going to be bringing you daily, digital workshops to get excited about Shakespeare! These can be accessed via The Courtyard’s Facebook page and will go live at 10am every day. Each workshop will last about 45 minutes.

Shakespeare Live! Schedule…

Shakespeare is renowned for creating some of the most dastardly villains of all time. In this workshop we’ll be using drama to explore Shakespeare’s language and see what links some of his most evil creations. Using lines straight from the bard’s pen, we’ll be slinging Shakespearean insults, creating some of our own, and bringing some of his villains to life.

Learn how to fight like Tybalt, battle like Macbeth and duel like Hamlet in this fun stage combat workshop with Dan and Jamie!

Come and listen, enjoy and interact with this sensory inspired retelling of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Explore this classic with your senses and spread some magic with Megan.

Bring to life one of Shakespeare’s famous speeches in this fun drama workshop with Ben Mowbray! Learn how to build suspense, understand the text and develop your performance techniques.

Gather a team and test your skills and knowledge in these fun Shakespeare brain teasers, puzzles and games!
